TOURNAMENT RULES
| 1 | To qualify for any tournament, team or individual, a player must have played at least one-third of the scheduled league fixtures by 31st December. Exceptions will be at the Committee's discretion. In a handicap event any player not so qualifying must play off scratch, unless a handicap can be established from previous participation in the League. |
| 2 | In the team handicap cup, only players qualified by 31st December will be eligible to play. Exceptions will be at the Committee's discretion. |
| 3 | To qualify for tournaments:
(a) Cadets must be under 15 years on 1st January 2007.
(b) Juniors must be under 18 years on 1st January 2007.
(c) Veterans must be 40 years on 1st January 2007.
(d) Super Vets must be 50 years on 1st January 2007.

| 4 | In an individual tournament, play shall commence at the time stated. The Committee shall be empowered to scratch any player(s) whose absence delays the tournament's progress. The Committee's discretion in the matter shall be limited to the extent that players arriving thirty minutes or more late must be scratched except by prior arrangements. |
| 5 | Round Robin: where two player(s) have equal points at the end of a round, the winner(s) of their game played during the round will take precedence; where more than two player(s) have equal points at the end of the round, then the aggregate points scored during the round shall decide the winner(s). |
| 6 | In handicapped competitions, the service shall be decided by the toss of a coin. The winner of the toss may elect either to serve, or receive an extra half-point on the total points scored in the match. |
| 7 | The calculation of a handicap for doubles pairings shall be half the combined individual handicaps for each player, rounded down where the mean is a fraction. |
